Home & contents
House, contents, vehicles and landlord cover for Peninsula properties, including coastal and holiday homes.
Independent, Coromandel owned, with clients from Dargaville to Queenstown. We shop New Zealand's major insurers for your home, business, farm, boat and life cover, then stand beside you at claim time. Ask us yourself, or send your AI assistant. Both are welcome here.
Coastal homes, small businesses, farms and boats, on the Peninsula and around the country. Risks that direct insurers put in the too-hard basket are our everyday work.

Anyone can sell you a policy. A broker earns their keep on the day something goes wrong. Before founding CIS, our principal spent nine years leading residential earthquake claims for major insurers after the Canterbury quakes, so we know exactly how claims get assessed, from the inside. Now that knowledge works for you, not the insurer.
When you claim, we lodge it, manage the insurer and the assessors, and argue your corner through to settlement.
A quick call or the form below. We ask the questions that change your premium and your cover.
We take your risk to the insurers that fit it and come back with options in plain English, including the decisions that are actually yours to make.
Renewals reviewed every year, changes handled in a phone call, and a broker in your corner at claim time.
More than 100 years of combined industry experience, and every one of us lives here. When you ring, you get a person who knows your file, not a call centre.

Free, and back to you within one business day. Every quote arrives with a plain-English summary of what the cover does, what it costs, and the two or three decisions you actually need to make. Nothing is bound until you've talked with a broker and agreed.
Prefer to talk first? Book a call back or ring 07 868 7301.
Pick a window and a broker will ring you. Your request goes straight to the office, and we confirm the time with you by text or email.
More of our clients now ask an AI assistant to sort their insurance. We'd rather help it than hide from it, and we use the same tools inside the business to give you clearer answers faster. Automation gathers; people advise. A broker reviews every request before anything happens.
Every page carries schema.org structured data: who we are, both offices, hours, phone, services and FAQs. A summary for language models sits at /llms.txt.
Agents can drive the accessible form above or post JSON directly to POST /api/quote-request. Either way it lands with a broker inside one business day.
Callback requests go to POST /api/callback, so an assistant can book a time with a real broker on your behalf. The field layout is documented in /llms.txt.
Assistants that speak the Model Context Protocol will be able to connect at mcp.cis.co.nz for product information, quote requests and bookings. Coming in phase two.
What agents can't do here matters just as much: no client data is exposed, nothing binds cover, and the duties under New Zealand's financial advice regime sit with our licensed people, not the robot.
No. Quotes and initial advice are free. We're paid by commission from the insurers we place your business with, and that's disclosed to you before you buy.
As a Steadfast Group member we access New Zealand's major insurers, including NZI, Vero, AIG, Ando, QBE, DUAL and specialist markets, and place your cover with whoever best fits your risk, not whoever pays us most.
Yes, that's half the point of a broker. We lodge the claim, deal with the insurer and assessors, and advocate for you through to settlement. Email claims@cis.co.nz or ring us.
Yes. It can read our details, request quotes and book call backs through the facilities above. A broker reviews everything, and we'll always confirm important steps with you directly before cover changes.
The formal information we're required to give you, in plain English. Ask us any time if you'd like the full detail.
